It took loosing my uterus to experience fertility.
Let me explain.
A year ago I made a life-changing decision, and things have never been the same since.
The decision was a direct result of my sudden hysterectomy in 2016. This surgery set the stage for some powerful shifts.
To my surprise, I connected with my creativity after the surgery more distinctly than I ever had.
There is no other way to describe it; I felt fertile. Go figure.
The area once occupied by my reproductive organs was now exclusively occupied by my creative energy.
I was no longer biologically obligated to reproduce. Instead, I could create.
The newfound relationship with my creative center (my second chakra/ former womb space, what have you) opened me up.
I realized that making body polishes, bathing salts, and facial serums no long inspired me. So, a year ago I announced to you that I was closing my body care product line despite having worked hard on it for 7 years.
Since then, I’ve focused exclusively on my signature Archetype Anointing Oils. I feel creative with them; enlivened, productive. Fertile.
With my creative center healthy and intact, I “birthed” the education curriculum for river island apothecary. There are now seasonal classes, focused retreats, and even a year long program all inspired by the Archetype Anointing Oils.
This is what I mean by feeling fertile. I am producing, I am creating, I am collaborating, I am inspired more often than not.
Spiritual fertility, Literal creativity.
Let me be clear. Of course you can reproduce and be creative. Of course you do not need to have your organs removed to experience womb space as creative space.
Here’s what I mean: you can be fertile, attracting, and creatively relevant even if you’re missing the hardware, even if you’re menopausal, even if you are without female hormones or body parts entirely.
This is the medicine of The Tantrika.
You have space between your pubic bone and belly button? You’re fertile. You can create.
