I’m always a little nervous on days when I teach or facilitate ritual.
Today is one of those days. I’m facilitating a ritual for The Mystical Year live crew tonight, and my mind is going in a thousand directions.
But I’m about to reel it in.
I use a specific tactic to keep myself organized and on time; a trick for remembering all the things I need to bring and all the moving parts of the ritual, not to mention staying open to the muse and divine communication.
It’s called grounding.
When I began teaching 13 years ago, I used grounding to settle myself and the students before each class. Grounding helped us bring our attention fully present and sharpen our focus. It helped eliminate distraction so that we could accomplish the tasks at hand.
Taking a moment to ground before each class made our time together feel expansive, peaceful, and easy.
I love when things feel expansive, peaceful, and easy. Don’t you?
As I’m grounding for my ritual tonight, I thought maybe you’d like to join me.
So, I’m writing you with a free recording of the exact meditation I’ve been using for 13 years to help myself and my students ground.
xo,
