For once, I’m not overwhelmed & dreading Summer Solstice & Queen season.
Usually the abundance of light, plans, and just everything sends me into an avoidant tantrum, hiding behind shades & in cool dens until this season of intensity finally wanes.
My secret?
The remedy that’s saving my sanity this year?
It’s a phrase I blurted out in a Mystical Heart class last week, and now I’ve adopted it as a mantra.
It’s this: Own my Flow.
It’s a shorthand for honoring my own mystical rhythms; my own personal cadence for resting, socializing, creativity, holding space, and every other way I spend time.
One example: I need two hours in the morning to drink coffee & write poetry. If I can honor this rhythm, it staves off overwhelm by way of grounding me.
Another example: I don’t eat “breakfast, lunch, and dinner”. Instead, I eat two meals throughout the day at whatever two times I happen to be hungry.
Quirky? Maybe.
Random? Nah, not to me.
It’s the opposite of random.
It’s settling and grounding.
And grounding is something The Queen archetype teaches us.
She shows us that the higher we wanna climb and the bigger we wanna be, the deeper and more extensive our roots have to be.
Your “flow” is one way to describe your root system; the rituals and routines you practice regularly, like an automatic devotion, stabilize ans support you like crazy.
So, you’re already flowing? Awesome.
Nowhere close? I feel ya. and that’s super common.
It’s why I teach the way I do.
